How did I we survive?

This shirt was made for me!  I love it! And my sweet girl wearing it!!!

One of our best field trips this year was the AR reward field trip! PTA paid for us to go to the new movie theater in town and we all got a snack pack! The theater is amazing because there is enough room to walk up and down each isle without people having to move their legs. AND we all know going to the movies with a million first graders will definitely have some one on one "stop throwing popcorn" conversations throughout the movie.

Me and my team! LOVE these ladies!

When it rains almost every day or night the last two weeks of school you get desperate and do ART stations!!! Da-Da-DAAAAA! They got just a TAD excited when the paint and modeling clay came out!
There's a reason I save everything, LOL! for rainy weeks when you need to find other ways to entertain the kids besides a movie!
Of course I didn't get a front picture of this guys habitat box.  He did sea turtles and he had the cutest moving sea turtle hanging from the top of the box that would swim when you turned it on!
Reading his research paper on snakes to little sister!
Ok, is this smile not the most infectious smile ever! I will miss his sweet smiles!
In this little gals box was an ocelot, and she used the cutest mine craft toy for her ocelot! We have that toy at home and my girls love it, lol!
This little Dalmatian was on a running track! She was so creative!

End of year fun stuff!

Here are a few end of year projects we did to keep our sanity!
We finished up with our May "Math Strategy" Books where we practiced problem solving.

My kiddos absolutely love the "Strategy Builders".

We saw who was able to blow bubbles with gum and then made fun "Self-Portraits" with balloons for bubbles and crumpled tissue paper for no bubbles.

During the Month of May all of our schools First Graders had a "Nickels for Nepal" fundraiser to help with the Nepal earthquake disaster relief. The kids were very proud to see how much they earned! And took pride in knowing they helped people in need.

The last big project we do is a "Summer Bucket List".  This year I took two different ideas from two awesome teachers in the blogging world and merged them into one activity.  The glasses and self portrait idea cam from Third Grade Love and the bucket list came from Kayla at mpmschoolsupplies.com.

I always make sure that my last balloon surprise to pop is "Magic Spelling Foam" (that way I can get the tables cleaned before we have to pack everything up, LOL!) Teachers are such multi-taskers.

Field trip # 3.....nature center FUN!

Today was the big 10 count down!
Had to start it off with a bang! Or should I say "POP"!!
Now who can see the problem that I noticed VERY quickly!!!!

Ummmm....my projector screen! OMG! I moved the balloons pretty quick!
After our balloon count down we loaded up for another field trip!
We had a BLAST at the Nature Center today! Ms. Bunker is the best animal presenter ever! She made the kids laugh so much!
Ms. Bunker pulled out all sorts of fun animals for us to see!
Yes, that is me getting a bearded dragon placed on my head!
Mrs. Block did a "Wonder Woman" pose to get into snake mode!

I'm so partial to the skunk! Such a cutie! The kids almost died when she kissed him!

Bus Selfies!
